Between Realities
Residing at the intersection of ancestral ritual and speculative technology, Between Realities utilizes fiber-optic architecture and motion-tracking sensors to examine the friction of the self within a hyper-mediated landscape. Performed at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello for The Body Language 2025, the work reimagines the human body as a conductive vessel, caught between the historical weight of Venice and a high-tech, futuristic habit of the artist's own design.
Through a participatory performance, the audience is invited into a ritualistic journey where hand movements are translated into a generative sonic landscape. By weaving ancient sound traditions with fiber-optic light, the project interrogates how technology reconfigures body language and self-perception. This sensory intervention acts as a psychological archaeology, questioning whether identity is found in the tactile heritage of our surroundings or in the engineered myths of our digital future.
